"We read to know we are not alone." — C.S. Lewis
The Eudaemonia Book Club
One book a season. Weekly conversations until we finish it. A community of people who actually want to talk about it.

❋ Why Connection Matters
Regular social connection — even small, consistent moments of conversation throughout your week — is linked to reduced anxiety and depression and stronger emotional well-being. Building and maintaining meaningful relationships isn't just good for your mood; decades of research tie it to better long-term health outcomes overall.
The 2023 US Surgeon General's advisory named loneliness a serious public health concern, carrying a mortality risk comparable to smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Community isn't a nice-to-have. It's essential to our collective eudaemonia.
Just one hour a week of connecting with others can meaningfully reduce anxiety and depression while building the kind of relationships that actually support your emotional health.
❋ Collaborative Energy
Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.
❋ What Book Club Looks Like
A supportive circle fosters growth — a safe space to honor and validate experience together. If you love to read, love to learn, and want more connection in your life, this is for you.
Some of the best growth doesn't happen alone with a highlighter. It happens when you close the book and talk about it with people who get it.
❋ How it works:
Each season, we read one book together, about 30–50 pages a week, with a syllabus to keep everyone on the same page.
We meet weekly, virtually, for 60 minutes, from the season's kickoff until we finish the book — then we take a break until the next season's pick begins.
Join from anywhere; support your local library or local bookstore, or download the audiobook from your own streaming service.
Our First Book
Our inaugural read is "The Let Them Theory" by Mel Robbins — a book about releasing the need to control other people's choices and reactions, so you can pour that energy back into your own life and relationships. Real connection gets easier once you stop trying to manage everyone else's.
We kick off Friday, October 16th at 11:30 AM — weekly, 60-minute virtual sessions (about 30–50 pages a week) running until we finish the season's book, so you can join from anywhere. Support your local library or local bookstore, or download the audiobook from your own streaming service.
